The picture shows the Horty Garage.

It is located between Szentendre and Pap-rét, in the Ókúti Valley, next to the Király-völgyi Road. An excellent asphalt road, which is a popular route for tourists and cyclists. Its history: It dates back to the time of Governor Horthy: it was a garage on his private estate, used to store his car. A beautifully renovated building, now used as a rain shelter, with benches next to it.

In the Apátkúti Valley, a fishing lake fed by the Apátkúti Stream, which has become a popular place for families because of the trout that can be caught. Even children can fish in the small lake here, with rental rods. The fish caught is weighed and either fried in the nearby Ördögmalom Csárda or taken home. Of course, we pay a fee for everything, but the experience is great. All this in a very beautiful environment, we can organize a small tour from Visegrád.

A perfect and beautiful place for a last breath before heading to the summit.

Still closed in January 2025 as far as I know. There was a smaller fire in Nov 2024 which probably delayed the re-opening.
