In the center of Corniglio stands the 13th century castle that was owned by the Rossi and Farnese families and in 1820 was sold to the municipal administration, today the municipal headquarters. A small town of about 80 inhabitants in the Parma Apennines, a hamlet in the municipality of Monchio delle Corti. The father of the poet Attilio Bertolucci was born in this town in the upper Bratica valley, and he first met Casarola in the 1920s. Casa delle ciliegie, a multipurpose center within the Parco dei Cento Laghi, which represents a privileged place for the study and memory of Attilio Bertolucci. In 2011, on the occasion of the centenary of the poet's birth, the Pagine di pietra were presented: a journey in nineteen stages that starts from Attilio's house, which can be visited today, to reach the town cemetery following an itinerary marked by as many stone slabs that, on the walls of the houses, like in an open book, report selected verses of his poems.
