A nice climb although the quality of the tarmac is quite poor. Stunning views. Monastery is men only and you need to be properly dressed in case you wish to enter. So no cycling shorts. No shop to replenish nor coffee.

Nice driveway with max. 10% gradient, all in all moderate. Hardly any traffic during the week. A bit more busy on Sundays but easy going thanks to the width.

The recommendation is to drive from the Lefkara side. Very even slope, very pleasant to drive and a scenic pleasure. Be careful on the descent, as there is hardly any traffic on the road and there can be stones or dirt in the way.

Brakes? Not necessary ..... sweeping curves, good road surface. To enjoy. Also recommended as a climb.

After passing the quarry and the barracks, the path continues through the forest to the monastery. The higher you climb, the more beautiful the views become.
