The Gros Banc ornithological reserve is part of the natural site of the Orne estuary. This sensitive natural area (ENS) is open to access and free of charge. It is possible to tour the reserve on foot in complete autonomy (be careful during high tides, part of the loop is no longer accessible). During high tide, the Gros banc welcomes many birds, which you can observe from the Beaulieu observatory in Merville-Franceville. It is prohibited to enter the Gros Banc and cross the fences.
