This section, known as Bryggstien or the Bridge Trail, literally runs over the rocks. Since it was impossible to create a safe path this close to the water, a wooden walkway on stilts was built. The view along the entire route is superb.

Glengsholen looks like a large lake, but it’s actually an inlet of the Glomma Fjord. From the shore, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view and spacious lawns where you can picnic, play, or relax. This is also where the ferry arrives.

The cannons were located at this memorial site. Today, those anti-aircraft cannon posts have been removed, but you can still clearly see where they were positioned thanks to these stone circles.

This cove is particularly pleasant because it has a sandy beach, whereas most of the other beaches are rocky. Here you can swim and enjoy the sun in peace.

From various points along the coast, you can enjoy fantastic views of the small village of Ostre Vikene with its typical red houses, numerous boats and green, grass-covered stone hills in the background.

Stop by Alby Kafe for freshly baked wheat pastries such as cinnamon buns and vanilla buns, a slice of carrot cake or a taste of the famous Albykringla. For goodies in a glass, there is both locally produced apple juice from Dyre Gård and freshly squeezed orange juice on the menu. The cafe also makes sandwiches that will appeal to most people!
