Very rooted and somewhat blocked ridge trail. A bit difficult to walk in wet conditions and very slippery and sometimes very steep, especially on descents...

Interlaken Ost, with its train station and ship landing stage for Lake Brienz, is the hub for numerous excursions to Bönigen, Iseltwald, the Giessbach Falls and, notably, Brienz with its Brienzer Rothorn.

Breathtaking views over Interlaken, Lake Brienz and Lake Thun as well as the adjacent mountain formations. You can take the cable car up there or hike up. The path is 3.6km long and around 750 meters in altitude are conquered. The prerequisites are sturdy shoes, a certain level of fitness and a small packed lunch.

The holiday resort Interlaken lies between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun and nestled between the three mighty mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The place is not that big at all, but it brings quite a bit of urban flair to your tour with various other localities.
