This is one of the largest open-air museums in Romania. Located immediately south of Sibiu, the museum contains creations of traditional, pre-industrial Romanian folk civilization. Traditional houses, workshops and building complexes for all over Romania are scattered around a lake, among the trees of the Dumbrava Sibiului forest. Very nice place to visit if you are interested in the Romanian culture or you would like to spend a nice and relaxing day somewhere outside.

This is a great destination for some easy cycling, walking, pic nic or other similar leasure activities. There is also a public bike rental service terminal named Sibiu Bike City which offers the possibility of renting a bike of 30 cents / hour through a mobile app.

It is rumored to be the largest open air village museum in Romania. A large number of traditional houses and huts from all over the country have been brought together and built here. A visit is definitely worth it, but I recommend a guided tour as it gives you a lot more background knowledge. There are also very interesting events on site throughout the summer. These range from pottery courses to concerts. So anyone in the area should keep their eyes open.

A must when visiting Sibiu! Nice exhibits. Very interesting.

A very nice flowing single trail with a slight incline when driving in the direction of Hermannstadt/Sibiu. Can be driven in both directions.

Very nice open-air museum in a beautiful park. Admission currently 25 lei. Open daily from 9: 00-17: 00. There is an E-tricycle rental. There are two asphalted trails. At certain times of the day (from 10:00 am?), Bicycles are allowed in, which is especially useful for the children. Was popular on Sunday with families with children. There is a lake and gastronomy. The restaurant should be avoided for dining, however! For 3 lei you can switch to the zoo at the other end of the park. The has u.a. also over a lake with boat rental.

Best take the Enduro Trail, has roots, sinks full of water but you can also curve around. The plateau is great with beautiful views in the middle of nature, quietly follow the Enduro way to then drive to the villages.
