There's an excellent gravel off-road vehicle woodland track from the west to this viewpoint; a most enjoyable ride - especially on an eMTB. There are many excellent gravel and dirt tracks around Moncrieffe Hill making this an excellent place for a bit of scenic local exploration and fun. There's a good free car park north of the Hill that makes access a doddle. PS. there's a geocache here too.

From the trig point at Moncrieffe Hillfort, there are excellent views over the River Tay and M90 motorway towards the Ochil Hills. The views themselves are worth the effort. The off-road vehicle-grade woodland gravel track from the northwest offers excellent, albeit steep, access and an enjoyable ride (on an eMTB).
