A little hidden, but with nature and peace

The extensively used mountain meadows with their small areas demarcated by hedges were declared a nature reserve at the end of the 1980s. Rare and highly endangered plants and animals have a protected habitat here.

Hirschberger Wiesensee: This pond is looked after and cared for by the Velmeden fishing club. Many Central European fish species such as perch, bream, carp, rainbow trout, roach, rudd, tench, catfish and zander can be found here. Free fishing and swimming are prohibited!

At the foot of Hohen Meißner, lonely in the middle of the forest, like its own little village, lies the Hirschberg riding stable. Robert Simon, owner of the farm, has realized his childhood dream here. In his first life he was rushed from appointment to appointment. Money and success had been in the foreground. In his second life, he bought the ancient Hirschberg manor, and after years of loving and painstaking renovation and conversion work, it became today's Hirschberg horse farm: a beautiful half-timbered property....
