Great day on the Lakes Route with the day's end lake, Lake Thun

As you cycle along Dorfstrasse, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Lake Thun, with the Swiss Alps as a backdrop. As you ride, the deep blue waters of the lake sparkle below, framed by rolling green hills and Alpine peaks that seem to stretch on forever. This stretch offers a mix of gentle inclines and relaxed descents, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding landscape.

Passing through Thierachern, you will enjoy an exceptional vantage point for road cyclists looking for an unforgettable view of the Bernese Alps. As you climb through rolling farmland, the imposing Alpine peaks gradually come into view, creating a spectacular backdrop to the valley below. The route rewards you with clear views of majestic peaks such as the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, especially on a clear day.

Cycling through Zwieselberg offers a picturesque and invigorating ride along quiet roads that wind through the Bernese Oberland countryside. The route features gentle hills, open fields, and occasional climbs, making it accessible and rewarding for road cyclists. As you pedal, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, lush valleys, and traditional Swiss farmhouses that dot the landscape.

Very suggestive point on the Thunersee tour route. It is the access to the caves from which a spring flows. The visit to the caves is subject to a fee. However, the uphill path to reach the entrance to the caves is freely accessible. Recommended for the view of the lake from above, the visit to the waterfalls formed by the spring (explanatory panels that tell the state of the fresh water reserves present in Switzerland). Once at the top, the structure from which you access the caves is also a restaurant/bar with a beautiful view of the lake. You can do a circular tour by going up on one side crossing the structure and going down on the opposite side.
