Coming from the Friedwald, a small detour to the bridge, where you can cross the Schwarzbach and continue along the path after the bridge. Or you can go back to the main path, which you can walk on in the sun during the day on this section. In hot temperatures this is a pleasant place, there is no bench.

If there is a surplus in electricity generation (mainly at night), water is pumped from the lower Murg dam in Kirschbaumwasen via the power house in Forbach into the Schwarzenbach dam. If there is a lack of energy, the water from the reservoir is channeled via the water turbines into the Forbach balancing basin to generate electricity to cover peak loads. The water is led from the dam wall to a surge tank on the mountainside above the Forbach turbine house via a 1.7 km long pressure tunnel, from where it is fed above ground in a pressure pipe approximately 900 meters long with a steep gradient to the turbines of the power plant in the valley. the circular route is not a "lake promenade"! Rather a mostly well-developed and well-signposted forest path with an occasional view of the lake.

Behind the maintenance house, a staircase leads down to the Schwarzenbach. There you can take a great break over the water!
