A beautiful, over 300-year-old oak tree 🌳 with a bench underneath. Perfect for a short break during an outing, to have something to eat and enjoy the view. The path that leads past it is a very narrow paved road that is now rarely used.

The Hornauer Weiher, considered the official source of the Altmühl river, lies far from traffic, quietly on the edge of the village. Here you can relax, swim and barbecue.

An easy and enjoyable cycle path. You can make good time and don't have to pay attention to anything.

The Rosenberg Castle ruins are a must-stop. A lovely spot with seating for rest and relaxation.

I can confirm this. After starting my bike tour at the Rezat spring near the Muna settlement, it's a leisurely ride through the meadows via Oberdachstetten to Rosenbach. Afterwards, the high trail to Lehrberg offers wonderful views over the Franconian Rezat valley. Be careful on the few, but blind, curves to avoid cycling groups that spread across both lanes.

Between Leichendorf and Wintersdorf, you can choose between Seewaldstraße (past the campsite and through the residential area) and the cycle path next to Rothenburger Straße (paved, see photo).
