To ensure that our lake, which went into operation in 1980, can continue to reliably fulfill its function as a flood retention basin, it was inspected and renovated by the Ansbach Water Management Office in 2024/2025, and sediment was removed in a joint effort. The flood retention basin is scheduled to be put back into operation in mid-November 2025, so that the target water level should be reached again at the beginning of the 2026 bathing season.

The lake also serves as a flood retention basin. The water has been drained for remediation, making swimming impossible until 2025.

Even in winter - when the sun is shining - it's a worthwhile walk.

Over 30 hectares of leisure area with a campsite and restaurants, among other things. But also signposted areas as NSG.

It's a beautiful lake though. But we haven't been there for a while and everything has been completely rebuilt. Everything is now forbidden. In places where you could previously lie down, everything has been leveled and provided with stones and you are now only allowed to bathe in one place. It is relatively small and anyone who likes crowds and shouting will definitely feel at home there. A pity.

There is also a separate dog beach. A children's area. A restaurant and a kiosk. The lake warms up quickly.
