Between or afterward, sit down on the beach and go for a swim or enjoy a cool drink at the "Hecht und Sonne" kiosk 🐟☀️ – that's also a great combination! The small beer garden right on the lake offers delicious snacks, cakes, BBQs in the summer, and a relaxed atmosphere with deck chairs and a view of the water. It's open Tuesday to Sunday, 12 p.m.–10 p.m. (weather permitting) – closed on Mondays.

Where excavators were recently mining gravel, a large regional recreation area, the “Hollerner See”, is being created between Eching and Kreuzhof (B 13).

A relatively new lake (opening in 2020). Those planning to swim here should bring a parasol and sunscreen due to the lack of shade. The nearby "Hecht und Sonne" restaurant serves food and drinks... - of course, it's busier when the weather's good for swimming ;-)!

Beautiful beer garden location. Unfortunately it was closed when I was there, but I'll definitely come back and stop there
