The Plaue Lock is a lock complex in the Woltersdorfer Altkanal (Old Canal) of the former Plau Canal, which has been part of the Elbe-Havel Canal for most of its length since the 1930s. It is located in the Plaue district of Brandenburg an der Havel. Source: Wikipedia

The old lock Plaue in the Plauer Canal has been out of service since the opening of the Elbe-Havel Canal in 2003 and the lock in Wusterwitz. Today the lock is a listed building. The Plauer Canal as a connection between the Brandenburg Havel lakes and the Elbe was built in the middle of the 18th century.
