Burr Point marks the most easterly point on the island of Ireland. The spot is marked by a coastal sculpture by artist Ned Jackson Smyth. You can rest up in the sheltered cove which has a well-kept toilet and changing facilities close by.

Carrowdore Castle Gate is one of the original 19th-century entrance lodges to the Carrowdore Castle estate in County Down. De Burgh's castle was primarily a military fortress, notable for its robust defensive features typical of Norman architecture. The design included impressive walls and strategic positioning to take advantage of the natural defensive advantages of the clifftop location.

This forest of around five hectares consists of a mixture of scrubland, Douglas fir and spruce. The well-maintained paths lead you through dense forest and offer striking views of the surrounding countryside, including the villages of Attical and Slieemageogh. However, some sections are slippery in wet weather, so care must be taken. A particular highlight is the proximity to Banns Road, a historic path that takes you further into the Mourne Mountains.
