The Church of St. Nicholas was built between 1770 and 1772, but was plundered by French revolutionary troops in 1794. When this church became too small, the present Church of St. Bartholomew was built in 1838 according to plans by the Munich architect August von Voit.

Here lies the "Lusoria Rhenana," a faithful replica of a Roman river warship, which was also used on the Rhine to defend against the Germanic tribes. Can be rented for tours; details can be found on the website of the operating association: https://lusoriarhenana.de

Beautifully located right on the lake with a terrace on the lakeshore. We only had coffee, but we'll be back for dinner. The menu looked tempting.
