The door is open, entry is free, however the stairlift was out of order. After 101 steps, one can enjoy a view of the Welzow open-cast mine.

Be sure to visit the Besenwirtschaft (beer tavern). Unfortunately, it's only open on weekends in September and October.

The three-sided farm, built around 1910, impresses with its historic fieldstone architecture. The three-sided farm was used by the local LPG until the 1990s. Cattle and pigs were kept on the farm until then. With the development of Steinitz as a tourist destination, the three-sided farm took on a whole new significance. After its complete renovation, the Steinitzhof was officially opened as a modern cultural and information center on December 15, 2011.

A very beautiful church

There are 101 steps to reach the viewing platform of the almost 30-meter-high Steinitz Staircase. From here, the view extends far across the Lusatian region.

The Pritzen church was demolished in 1991, when the closure of the open-cast mine that threatened the village had already been decided. However, the village received a bell tower that came from Wolkenberg, a village that had disappeared due to the open-cast mine. The Pritzen village church was relocated between 1988 and 1992 and rebuilt at the new location in Spremberg, and finally consecrated as the Evangelical Resurrection Church in 1994.
