The ferry operates between Kasten in Austria and Obernzell in Germany across the Danube and also carries bicycles. It's a popular part of the Danube Cycle Path and is ideal for cycling tours along the border. The crossing is short but very scenic: it offers beautiful views of the Danube and connects two attractive cycling routes. Cyclists should arrive at the landing a few minutes before departure – boarding is straightforward, and the crossing is a memorable moment on any cycling tour along the Danube.
