Beautiful views across the fields to the south, to the village of Pfraunfeld and the Büchelberg mountain with its radio tower behind it. The lower Anlauter Valley remains hidden. In the other direction, you can see the Grafenholz forest.

The Thalach is an approximately 18-kilometer-long stream in the Middle Franconian districts of Roth and Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen. The Thalach flows east from Laibstadt and joins the Schwarzach near the A9 motorway. Several small springs in the Haselholz forest area northeast of the village of Bergen converge to form the Thalach, with the main branch emerging from the so-called Strudbrunnen (Strud Fountain). The special feature of this spring is a wooden pipe containing the spring. The Strudbrunnen (Strud Fountain) is located northeast of Bergen, directly on the Franconian Way. Following the signpost at the edge of the forest, you can reach the spring on a forest path in about 10 minutes on foot.
