The church was built in the first half of the 18th century. It is a beautiful Baroque half-timbered building with a topped tower.

In preparation for the construction of the Trollenhagen airfield, the baroque tower cap was rebuilt from 1937 to 1940 on the orders of the Reich Aviation Ministry to give it its current appearance with a gable roof. Cultural events also take place in the village church, particularly during community festivals.

The north side of the circular route is heavily overgrown and very difficult to pass when it is wet. But so much nature on the doorstep! There are swans and other waterfowl on the marsh waters, and the kite is circling above....
