Don't be disappointed if there is no lake at all: it dries up in the summer months when the melting snow no longer feeds it sufficiently.

On the descent from the Knittelkarspitze via the Schönjöchl to Namlos, the lower third of the trail is poorly marked, so I deviated from the regular trail in the mountain pine area and had to find an alternative route across a very steep mountain meadow down to Namlos. You simply have to see it. An alpine village that is second to none. You feel like you have gone back in time.

A not too big bridge, but definitely worth visiting. It is integrated into a 17 km long hiking trail. We were there because of the bridge, however, and walked through the forest to the village of Namlos back to the hiking car park. Above the car park is the Alpine inn "Kreuz" with excellent traditional cuisine. Highly recommended 😋
