The Springhoe estate in the municipality of Lockstedt is now a stud farm. You can walk past the beautiful clock tower and admire the manor house from the park-like grounds.

There used to be a water mill on the mill pond at Springhoe Estate. In 1899 the farm buildings and the mill burned down, and in 1902 the buildings were rebuilt with the exception of the mill. The mill pond was later used for carp farming.

There are some people who don't know that US nuclear weapons were once stored here (which, quite by chance, would have fit on the German fighter jets...). The bunkers are definitely interesting and some good graffiti artists have been able to work here.
