Locherboden is a fantastic place for hiking. Lush meadows stretch out around you, and the picturesque Inn Valley stretches below, while the peaks of the Mieminger Range rise proudly above.

While new and spectacular artificial viewing points are constantly being built in Tyrol, the observation tower on the Grünberg near Obsteig is threatened with demolition. Unlike many new buildings, the tower is located in a low-tourism area, and no one wants to pay for its continued maintenance. A good two years ago, the tower was closed for safety reasons. The stairs and wooden railings, in particular, are rotten.

On the trail between Mötz and Thal you reach the “Schöne Aussicht” viewpoint. From here you have a wonderful panorama of the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains.
