This hamlet, with its panoramic location, is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters. It has been perfectly restored in keeping with Valais traditions and its architectural character.

Not only is cycling prohibited here, but even carrying bicycles is prohibited. You are neither allowed to push nor carry your bike! Possibly even possessing a bicycle is a criminal offense. This isn't clearly indicated at the entrance; there's just a crossed-out biker on a bicycle. After pushing our bikes 2km and about 300 meters in elevation to the Col de Cou, we fell victim to state-sanctioned highway robbery and paid 50 CHF per person (July 30, 2025).

The Pichioc waterfall is a wonderful place. The waterfall itself is not too huge. The water is very cold and can be turbulent, so if you want to go into the river, cross with caution.

In winter, the summit of Mont Noble is the highest point of the surrounding ski resort, connected to the ski lifts. In summer, the summit offers an excellent day hike, with superb views of the 4 Valleys region as a reward. The summit itself is grassy, open and marked by a large cairn and a very elaborate bronze statue.

A secluded alpine lake, nestled beneath the surrounding peaks of Maya and Becs de Bosson. The lake makes a great summer hiking destination, with beautiful winding alpine trails connecting it to many small towns nearby. The lake is a great opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna while enjoying your picnic.

I fell into the Komoot trap. A tour recommendation from Komoot leads along here :( Here the path is not only completely impassable for several kilometers. Carrying it is sometimes dangerous in this area. Sometimes the bike hits one side and goes down steeply on the other side. This is no fun even for experienced, technically good mountain bikers.

The "Vieux Chalet" restaurant is located at the entrance to the village of Nax and offers traditional cuisine, brasserie dishes such as "croute au fromage," and local products. Perfect for a break and refreshment during your hike. Great ambiance and friendly service!
