The Trüebsee (standard language: Trübsee, e.g. official name of the stop/station) is a mountain lake on the Alp Ober Trüebsee at an altitude of 1763 m above sea level in central Switzerland. It lies between the municipality of Engelberg and the Titlis mountain in the canton of Nidwalden, near the Jochpass (2207 m above sea level). Mountain Chapel of the Assumption of Mary, Trüebsee The picturesque mountain chapel of the Assumption of Mary has stood on the Trübsee circular trail since 1935. The chapel was consecrated on September 8, 1935. The chapel was built in 1934/35 according to plans by Arnold Stöckli. The stained glass windows were designed by Albert Hinter.
