It is beautiful to be at Lake Aegeri at any time of year

After the chapel was damaged during the French period (around 1800) and then left to decay, it was given its present form in 1824. Four years later (1828), the first of the hermits who lived here from then on built the neighboring hermit's house. The last hermit left the place in 1888; the hermit congregation, which was then based in Luthern Bad, was no longer able to find a suitable successor.

Here, near a shrine, on the night of October 23, 1531, Christian Iten, a historically almost unknown captain from Ägeren, is said to have gathered and counted his warriors before they went to the Battle of Gubel, where they defeated the Reformed army and thus decided the Second Kappel War in favor of the Catholics. In memory of this, this chapel was later built, probably in 1705, and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the divine trinity - God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

An idyllic path along the lake leads you to this bench, right on the lakeshore, under a strong tree trunk. Beautiful place, with a beautiful view over Lake Ägeri and Tahl.

A fantastic environment for biking, flat along the lake, and lots of trails and paths on the sides, with possible high altitudes. Something for everyone! It's pure pleasure to be here!
