The hike around the lakes is wonderful. A steep climb just after the first lake and then on the ridge over and down to the second lake. You can also take the small tourist train.

The Melchsee-Frutt region is an absolute highlight with the Melchsee! The hike on the Balmeregghorn past the Melchsee is highly recommended! There is also a lot to discover around the lake for families with children

Largest lake on the four lakes hike. Relatively touristy but well done with nice rest areas.

The barbecue areas are very clean and equipped with everything you need: table, benches, barbecue area, wood, cleaver, barbecue tools.

I find the circular hike (14 km or 4 1/2 hours) from/to Melchsee-Frutt particularly beautiful in midsummer. Then the abundance of flowers is immense, you will find (peacefully) grazing cows everywhere and you can hardly get enough of the panorama of mountains and lakes.
