The Whistle Stop Café in the small town of Juliette, Georgia, was once just an empty building – until it became the central filming location for the 1991 film "Green Tomatoes." For the adaptation of Fannie Flagg's novel, the café was extensively redesigned and served as an authentic backdrop for the scenes featuring Idgie and Ruth.
