Located south of the Las Vegas Valley, Black Mountain is one of the more prominent peaks in the McCullough Range. There are many transmission towers from Las Vegas area television and radio stations on Black Mountain.

As the name suggests, the trail leads to the Black Mountain about 400 meters and 5 km. From the trail you have a great view of the skyline of Las Vegas.

The Anthem East Trail parking lot is tucked away in the middle of suburban housing. The concrete path leads to the Sloan Canyon or Black Mountain trail system.
