This short stretch of about one kilometer requires little physical effort. The focus of the trail is more demanding for hikers, as it is about the youngest victims of National Socialism: children. Two of the five stations are dedicated to the fate of the more than sixty small children of Eastern European forced laborers who were forcibly housed in a barracks by the monastery wall in the last year of the war. More than half of the children died from a lack of food and supplies. In contrast, Markt Indersdorf became a place of refuge after the end of the Second World War: a first protective environment was created here for over 1,000 young survivors of National Socialist persecution before they returned to their home countries or emigrated.
