Very nice climb to Statiunea Izvoare. Care to be taken on descent as you may encounter potholes or bad road surface.

Good place to rest before climbing back on Gutin. It is a family restaurant where you can eat traditional Romanian food, especially fresh trout. The main attraction is the artificial waterfall located a few meters from the restaurant.

Centrul Vechi (or, "Old Town Square") is a plaza which hosts various cultural events, has Stephen's Tower nearby plus a diverse range of restaurants/bars. Don't be fooled by the street with markings in the middle of it, traffic no longer passes the plaza as it was closed off.
