It dates from the first half of the 18th century and is probably connected to the last major plague epidemic mentioned in our local chronicle. This is also indicated by the plague saints, namely the figures of Saint Rochus and Sebastian and Saint Rosalia next to Saint Charles Borromeo in the base relief. In addition, the Madonna of Sorrows stands halfway between the plague saints and the mercy seat (Trinity), which crowns the partially fluted column. There are repeated attempts to preserve the "Trinity" as an ornament of the town center through restoration, as its location has a decisive influence on the townscape.
