The Bed in the Cornfield has been around for several years now. Every year, around mid-June to mid-July, when all the grain crops are in full bloom, the Bed in the Cornfield is set up. Each time, it's in a different cornfield belonging to the Fischer Ittlinger organic farm. It's signposted from the road, making it easy to find. The Bed in the Cornfield is a place to linger and enjoy, or to watch the sunset. A wooden selfie stand allows for great photos 📷 Since 2022, it has even been officially recognized as one of Lower Bavaria's Happy Places.

Rest and bathing place

The parish church of St. Johannes is one of the landmarks of the Lower Bavarian town of Dingolfing. The stately, unplastered brick building with its approximately 83 meter high tower is one of the most important late Gothic church buildings in Bavaria. Although the builders are unknown, the hall church can be attributed to the Landshut construction works and is therefore in the architectural tradition of Hans von Burghausen and Hans Stethaimer. Access is ideally via the high bridge, a brick structure that is over 400 years old. Imposing bridge, where you have a good view of the surrounding “valley”. You should be able to drive over it and under it sometimes :-)

It is considered the landmark of Dingolfing because, with its height of 83m, it can be seen from afar.

From the bridge you have a good view of the barrage and the surrounding area upstream.
