Former benefice house and currently scout house

Trinity Column, a pillar as a symbol of gratitude. In 1679, during a time of suffering and trial by the devastating plague, the devout inhabitants of Mistelbach demonstrated their deep faith and gratitude to Almighty God. They vowed to erect a stone memorial column in the main square to express their thanks for the protection they had received, despite the many losses they had also suffered. This sacred promise was fulfilled on September 10, 1680, when the Venerable Superior of the Barnabite Monastery, Don Josef Festa, solemnly laid the foundation stone for the Trinity Column. Just two months later, on November 13, 1680, the column was consecrated in a festive ceremony. The centuries brought changes, and so, at the end of the 19th century, a careful restoration of this important memorial column became necessary. The costly restoration work, which amounted to 10,786 crowns, was made possible by the generous donations of the community. On Trinity Sunday, June 5, 1898, the restored column was once again resplendent and solemnly blessed. The community's loyalty to faith and tradition was also evident in the subsequent restorations of 1937 and 1967. Finally, under the direction of Mayor Dr. Alfred Pohl, a comprehensive renovation was carried out in 2018 and 2019. This valuable work included the complete reconstruction of the base, the balustrade, and the various artistic sculptures, including the musical angels and Saints Roch, Sebastian, Charles Borromeo, and Benno. Thus, the Trinity Column remains not only a symbol of faith but also a living testament to the community's connection to its history and its belief in God.

At the northern part of the main square is the town hall. Built by Eugen Sehnal in the neoclassical style - the city of Mistelbach received its town hall in 1908.

This Gothic column was erected by the citizens of Mistelbach in commemoration of the plague year of 1597 in the plague cemetery located in the area of Gewerbeschulgasse. In 1898, the already dilapidated column was dismantled and, after thorough restoration, re-erected on the so-called Franz Josef Heights on Kirchberg. Following further restoration in 1985, the plague column was moved to its current location in the immediate vicinity of the former plague cemetery.

One of many Way of St. James fountains set up here - fresh water, of course, only in times without freezing temperatures.

The beneficiary house is the oldest building in Mistelbach and used to be the residential building of the St. John beneficiary. The Gothic stone cladding of the entrance door is remarkable.
