The Gimbornhof Gnome Route is a playful walking route for all ages, running through and around the Gimbornhof courtyard in Zevenaar. Along the route, you'll find 24 gnome doors, each with its own story. Gnome Max von Gimborn leads walkers on an adventure, allowing them to discover the park and neighborhood in a surprising way. The route starts at the Exercise and Meeting Garden, near the large gnome sign, and then leads through the Gimbornhof, past Juvenaat and Julie Postelstraat. The route returns to the starting point via the apartment buildings on Vondellaan. The Gnome Route was created in 2023 by a group of committed residents and has since become a popular initiative. The route booklet costs €3.50 and is available at Cafetaria Vondelhoek and various shops in Zevenaar's town center. All proceeds are used to maintain the route. A fun way to walk and explore the area in a playful way.

The former brickworks from 1850 has been transformed into a well-preserved industrial heritage site offering various recreational opportunities. De Panoven, like many brickworks, was a family business. Bricks, roof tiles, and tiles were produced there for around 130 years, the last 100 years under the management of the Kruitwagen family. De Panoven brickworks featured a round, zigzag kiln that could fire continuously. The industry grew as more bricks were used to build homes. But after 1950, things became very difficult for the brickmaking trade. Production became mechanized, and the number of factories needed decreased. De Panoven also suffered. In 1983, Wim Kruitwagen extinguished the fire in the kiln. In Gelderland, most of the brickworks were demolished, but in contrast, the Kruitwagen family reopened their doors.

The small park is located right next to Zevenaar train station. From here you can also hike the Klompenpad.

A mill is mentioned in Zevenaar as early as 1447. However, building history research has shown that the current mill must have been built after 1549. This makes not this tower mill, but De Grafelijke Korenmolen in Zeddam the oldest existing windmill in the Netherlands. The Buitenmolen was the ban mill of Liemers' office. The city of Zevenaar had its own mill, the Binnenmolen. In 1816, both mills became the property of the Dutch Domain Board. The Buitenmolen was sold in 1865 to the miller Jacobus van der Grinten. Originally, the stairs to the attics were located outside the mill and the grinding noise was also outside the stairs. The doors near the stairs are now windows. There was a wooden platform above the entrance. The original appearance of the mill as an indoor porter disappeared over time. The mill was given a tail and the outer rod was equipped with self-yielding. Around 1930, the tail and sail cross were removed and the mill became a motor mill, which was closed down in 1955. The thick walls were cut out for the motor mill and steel floor beams were installed in 1934. In 1966, Mr. F.T.H. Korthaus De Buitenmolen was transferred to the municipality of Zevenaar, which had the mill restored in 1969 and 1970. The cap is covered with shales. In 2002, another restoration took place and the 9.20 meter long wooden upper axle was replaced by a new oak upper axle. The front gate lens was also renewed and the rods were replaced. The tower mill has steel rods with a length of 24.40 meters. They were made by the Vaags mill in 2002. The inner rod has number 71 and the outer rod number 70. The rods are equipped with the Old Dutch fencing with sails. The mill is equipped with a couple, 16der (140 cm diameter) artificial stones and a mixing boiler.
