The Réchy Valley is a listed natural site of national importance. It has been listed in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes, Sites, and Monuments (IFP) since 1998. This guarantees a very high level of protection to preserve its flora and fauna intact. By taking the Bisse de Vercorin, you can discover all the wonders of this nature reserve.

Not only is cycling prohibited here, but even carrying bicycles is prohibited. You are neither allowed to push nor carry your bike! Possibly even possessing a bicycle is a criminal offense. This isn't clearly indicated at the entrance; there's just a crossed-out biker on a bicycle. After pushing our bikes 2km and about 300 meters in elevation to the Col de Cou, we fell victim to state-sanctioned highway robbery and paid 50 CHF per person (July 30, 2025).

The place is called Buvette de la Lé, not Buvette du Valon de Réchy. Nice place, very friendly service.

Superb bisse hike! The irrigation canals (called Bisse in Valais) are among the most important cultural guardians of the Alps. Still at the top with great views over the valley.

A sturdy wooden passage along the rock (a very common type of passage in this area) is very safe but can cause dizziness if you are sensitive.

One of the best places to see deer while enjoying a delicious cheese fondue. The fondue is reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly.

The Pichioc waterfall is a wonderful place. The waterfall itself is not too huge. The water is very cold and can be turbulent, so if you want to go into the river, cross with caution.
