A large violent conflict took place right on the Tollense near Weltzin around 3,300 years ago. Archaeologists were able to find the remains of countless skeletons in the damp ground, which have been excellently preserved. The reconstructed battlefield stretches for about 1.5 kilometers along the west bank of the river.

Very, very nice cafe at the entrance to the Mühlenhagen nature adventure park. The cake is extremely delicious (my favorite is the woodruff cake - a poem, baked by the owner herself). The name Conerow refers to an early German castle from the early 13th century in today's Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The castle complex is difficult to access because it is located in the middle of the Wodarger forest and there is no direct route to it. The ruins of Conerow Castle are located about 2.4 km west of the village of Wodarg directly on a bend in the Tollense. In 1248 the complex was first mentioned in a document. Today only the remains of the wall can be seen on a 5 to 6 meter high castle hill with a diameter of 30 to 40 meters. The ruin, located on the north side of the hill, is the remains of the square keep with walls 2 meters thick. The upper 3 meters of the masonry, which is still 4.50 meters high on the west side, consists of so-called monastery bricks. The foundation, like the interior of the masonry, was built of fieldstone.
