Most beautiful circular village with studio, definitely worth a visit and chat with the artist

The stone church stands on a hill to the south outside the village. It was probably built at the end of the 13th century. The great distance to Rundling is atypical for the Wendland. The church is surrounded by the community cemetery and enclosed by a stone wall. The church has a single nave and has a round choir end. The tower was built later and the tower base was renovated with brickwork around 1900. The tower is clad in planks and has a copper roof. The church is rather small at around 13 × 9.50 m. Next to the entrance on the northern side there is a grooved stone and a stone called a “devil’s face”.

The historic Gühlitzer church and grave path to the Meuchefitzer church. Death path or corpse path was the name given to paths over which the dead were taken to cemeteries.

A Rundling is characterized by the fact that the courtyards are grouped around a round or oval village square. Originally there was only one access route. There is no typical house shape for this type of building; the hall house with half-timbering and gable position is predominant.

A breeding colony of barn swallows has settled on the top floor.

A nice spot. Here the stupid unites with the Wustrower stupid. There is a ford here and a bridge next to it, which consists of two tree trunks and a remnant of the former GDR border fence. Here you can cross the Dumme on foot, but it's a bit shaky.
