The Erpe is a 32 km long right tributary of the Spree River in the German states of Brandenburg and Berlin. Its source stream north of Werneuchen is also called the Stienitzfließ. From Werneuchen to Altlandsberg, it is also known as the Langes Elsenfließ, and from there to the Berlin city limits as the Neuenhagener Mühlenfließ. Like the entire landscape in Brandenburg and Berlin, the river's course was shaped by the last Ice Age.

The pond is located in Hirschfelde (the location has been changed on Komoot). Actually, there are two ponds right next to the village green, with various seating options at both.

The village church dates from the mid-13th century and was built entirely of fieldstones as a square chancel church. It was partially destroyed in World War II. Besides the rectangular tower with its two original bells, there was a chapel-like temporary church, which was set up in the rear of the chancel in the 1970s. For many years, the nave was a ruin without a roof. The roofs were replaced in 2013. The building now houses rooms for church activities and space for cultural events. The history of Hirschfelde Manor Park begins in 1753 when the Prussian Minister of Justice, Levin-Friedrich von Bismarck, acquired the Hirschfelde estate and had a manor house built with a small adjacent park. Under Eduard Arnhold, the estate and Hirschfelde Manor Park reached their cultural heyday at the beginning of the 20th century. The industrialist was among the five wealthiest citizens of Berlin and was known as an enthusiastic art collector. He used the estate as a country residence and, between 1904 and 1910, commissioned the architect Paul Baumgarten to expand the park to approximately 22 hectares and transform it into a sculpture park. Among other features, it included a natural amphitheater, a perennial garden with a sundial, a Chinese teahouse, a rose garden, a marble fountain, a stately bronze stag (now located in the village green), and a bull carved from white Carrara marble (now located in the spa park of Bad Freienwalde). ... The large park meadow near the linden avenue is now the playing field of SV Blau Weiß Hirschfelde. The club uses a former agricultural cooperative building next to the old manor house as its clubhouse.
