The High Church is the traditional centre and landmark of the twelve Lemgow villages. It was probably built around 1300 by monks from the Diesdorf (Altmark) monastery. The tower may be a little younger.

Here you are at the top of the so-called Jahrsauer Sack. So named because the GDR area protruded into Lower Saxony in the form of a sack.

The cafe appears out of nowhere (see also the Atmark travel guide). Delicious cakes and hot drinks, with a play corner for bad weather and a nice circular walk starting on the other side of the street.

From here you have a beautiful view of the surroundings, a few meters further you will also find a great rest area with an information board

The driveway to the deserted area can be reached via the former patrol road, along the green belt, coming from Kriwitz or Prezier. A very challenging route for cyclists. It is easier to hike this route. You will be compensated for the demanding route with the view over wide meadow areas and the voices of nature.
