From 1797. Octagonal half-timbered building with a pointed thatched roof, underneath a functioning treadmill, a cogwheel suspended from 16 struts with a circumference of approximately 34 m, pulled by up to six horses or cows, driving a three-stamp treadmill (for breaking flax). A gristmill (grinding mill) was added in 1810, and a threshing machine drive was added around 1900. The most important building of its kind in all of Westphalia. The sight of the Schachtschleuse lock, a gateway to Minden, is sure to impress on the Weser Cycle Path. It's worth seeing!

Scheduled passenger train service on the Minden District Railway was discontinued in 1974. This also led to a decline in rail traffic on the narrow-gauge railway bridge in Minden. Today, the bridge is used by daily freight trains and special services operated by the Minden Museum Railway, which connects its tracks to the main tracks of the Deutsche Bahn network.

Very impressive

The MKB (Minden District Railway) railway bridge over the Weser River, also known as the Kleinbahn Bridge. Although it's "historic" due to its age (built in 1898) and is a listed monument, it is fortunately still in full operation today. 👍 😊 You can see freight trains crossing the bridge every day. And with a bit of luck, or with the right "nose" for the right date, you might even see a historic train from the Minden Museum Railway (MEM) with a puffing steam locomotive. These are truly magical moments 🍀🌟📸🌟👍🍀, and not just for railway enthusiasts!‼️👍
