The Nadlingerhof is a sensation! The collection of old objects includes some 1,000 pieces. From the old church clockwork to the well pipe drill, everything that was used in the past is represented.

A special feature of the square is the Seelenluck'n. It was believed that the soul of the deceased would float out through this gap (opening in the wall).

The Nadlingerhof is a lovingly restored square from the 15th century and you will find rural culture and Mostviertler enjoyment here.

A small place invites to pilgrimage. The motto of the Neustadt pilgrimage route "The way is the goal" meets its meaning precisely: In the deliberate ups and downs through the forests, fields and fields of the Mostviertel region, a possible path to yourself opens up at the same time. It starts at the church in Neustadtl. Here you can feel, especially in autumn during the harvest season and the many festivals, that the focus is on rural culture with its traditions and farming customs. Likewise, Neustadtl seems to be entirely in the hands of St. James: The Austrian section of the Jakobweg leads directly through the municipal area, the parish church is dedicated to St. Jakob and last but not least, Jakobstraße leads us to the second stop on the pilgrimage route at the end of the town. "You are interested in your life, you are the only one who can make something of it" is written on a sign. But then let's go, on the way through a typical, particularly attractive piece of Mostviertel. Gracefully shaped, never steep, never monotonous, but all the more colorful it rests in itself and exhales exhilarating freshness. Corn and corn fields, interspersed with small forests, pear groves, alpine meadows and farmsteads. It is precisely this alloy of natural and cultural landscape, of customs and landscape maintenance, on which a pilgrimage can succeed to itself. "Have sun in my heart and everything will be fine!" Says the quietly gurgling brook that flows under a canopy of ferns. On this Jakobsweg here as in the Mostviertel everywhere, it is the light-hearted, easy, exhilarating walking that makes an irresistible charm. Between meadows and grain fields to the Nadlingerhof, where an adventure museum was built, which u. a. also shows how the pilgrims used to spend the night. After about two hours you return to Neustadtl. As another, as a richer, as a calmer person.
