A picture frame in the middle of the Rhine in Andernach. In the picture, the Alte Krahnen (crane) with the awe-inspiring Rhine in the background. Our bikes 🚲 🚲 are framed, which have brought us here so far 🚩 in 13 stages. A beautiful photo at that spot is simply a highlight. We had to stop there. ✔️🔝

Although it still belongs to Leutesdorf, the "Brombeerschenke" is a well-known tourist restaurant located far above the town. Directly opposite the restaurant is this vantage point, which offers the viewer far-reaching views of the Neuwied basin of the Rhine, as well as the Eifel landscape on the opposite side of the river.

Unfortunately the trail was closed because it was illegal... Those responsible at the forestry department told me that they would hold those who drive this regularly responsible. Ciao.

The stone Wied Bridge was built in 1648. It was temporarily destroyed by flooding, but was also deliberately blown up to stop the Allied advance towards the end of the war.

Here you can find everything from blackberries and more. The inventive menu leaves nothing to be desired. The blackberries are served in any form. Liquid with or without alcohol, hot or cold, as a cake, ice cream, dessert or side dish. But meat eaters don't miss out either. There is even a children's menu.

Andernach. From the beginning of March to mid-April 2016, the German Wine Institute once again called for entries to the most beautiful vineyard view in all 13 German wine-growing regions. Each region submitted photos of attractive vistas, which were published on the website www.generation-riesling.de. Visitors to the site were invited to vote for their favorite online. In cooperation with the Leutesdorf Tourist and Beautification Association, Andernach.net, the company responsible for tourism in Andernach, also submitted a photo to the competition. This photo shows the evening view from the Krahnenberg hill in Andernach overlooking the Leutesdorf vineyards and ultimately won the vote for "Most Beautiful Vineyard View 2016" in the Middle Rhine wine region. The image, taken last summer by photographers Marcel Hilger and Simon Schneider of 90Grad Photography on behalf of Andernach.net GmbH, prevailed in the direct vote against views from Boppard and Bacharach. On August 17th, the "Most Beautiful Wine View" on the Middle Rhine 2016 was officially awarded at a small ceremony. A stele created by artist Ulrich Schreiber was unveiled at the Krahnenberg viewpoint by Mayor Achim Hütten, Monika Reule, Managing Director of the German Wine Institute, Middle Rhine Wine Queen Sarah Hulten, and District Councilor Rolf Schäfer.
