The waiting room at Lössau station was relocated during the early GDR era because the station building was being converted into a holiday resort for the German Reichsbahn. Now the wooden structure is decaying in the forest.

This station building, like so many others, has seen better days.

It's in the middle of the village and is even more beautiful inside.

Legend of the Golden Spring A cold New Year's Eve was approaching when suddenly a silvery little house could be seen above the Golden Spring. It shone from afar and was covered in silver and crystal bells that sparkled and glittered in the moonlight. In front of the spring, on a large flat stone, sat a kind, old woman in a dazzling white dress. When the people approached the old woman quietly and silently, she gave them holy water. Back in their houses, the water finally turned into delicious wine. This happened because the people ran home in silence and didn't say a word about it. But one day, an evil fellow went to the spring and, full of greed, broke off some of the silver bells, hid them in his pocket and ran away. Suddenly the boy was frightened: the bells turned into oversized ants and devoured his greedy heart. From then on, the old woman and the beautiful little house disappeared forever.
