The viewing point Le Solitat promises more than it delivers, at least from my point of view 😅 in good weather you have a great view.

You stand on the plateau and have the whole of Lake Neuchâtel at your feet. Wonderful.

A fun mountain. The short, steep climb and then the view... the ski lifts seem strange, especially in summer.

The town is fantastically beautiful but the recording where the mountain peaks are visible on this board has unfortunately been scratched off or possibly damaged due to weather conditions, it would be great if it were redone 😊

The more you follow the ridge, the less important is Lake Neuchâtel and the Creux du Van becomes more dominant

Easy to reach vantage point. From here you can just about see Lake Neuchâtel and, for the first time, the huge Creux du Van

Very nice summit marked with a pyramid, wonderful view over almost the entire Lake Neuchâtel, you can also see Lake Murten, unfortunately we didn't see as far as the Alps

The Soliat is a 1465 m above sea level. M. high mountain peaks in the Neuchâtel Jura in Switzerland. The summit is on the soil of the Neuchâtel commune of Montalchez, around 15 km west-southwest of Neuchâtel, but the canton of Vaud also shares the Soliat crest area. To the northeast of the Soliat is the much better-known rock arena of the Creux du Van, one of the most important natural sights in the entire Jura.

Traditional alpine economy with a few very good specialties. I visited the alpine farm 40 years ago; it still looks the same and fortunately the Cornet à la crème is still there.
