This must-see is to be linked to Bel Oiseau, the name of this peak. Unmarked but relatively well-marked trail.

A spectacular mountain lake located at the foot of the Dents du Midi, offering impressive views of these mountains as well as the wider Valais region. The lake is quite accessible, with a solid road connecting it to the town of Martigny, making it a popular destination during the summer months. This route is a great climb and an even better descent, allowing a diverse range of cyclists to access this stunning location.

An artificial, but beautiful, lake perched in the mountains above the Marécottes ski resort. The lake is a popular place due to its ease of access and the large number of hiking, running and mountain biking trails that start from this location. The lake is located below the large, rocky and imposing Dents du Midi. It is equipped with a small refreshment bar, offering an opportunity to refuel before or after a long run in these magnificent mountains.

Although Lake Émosson is a human creation, it is still a magnificent sight and worth the detour. The surrounding area is full of dinosaur footprints, so be sure to keep a watchful eye out for any tyrannosaurs that might also be roaming around. The eastern shore of the lake offers a perfect view of the Aiguille Verte, a truly magnificent mountain, and the largest mountain located solely in France.

Despite its part in supplying the region's hydroelectric power, Lac d'Émosson is a beautiful and striking mountain lake, offering fantastic views and relatively easy access. From the dam you will have an incredible view of the Aiguille Verte, a mountain that seems to look different from every perspective. The surrounding area of the dam is a hotspot for dinosaur footprints, so be sure to look for them! I'm sure if you're lucky you might even find a few dinosaurs still walking around there.
