Capanna Adula UTOE, located at 2393 m in Val Carassina (Ticino), has been managed since 2018 by Lisa and Ciril with the support of UTOE Bellinzona. It offers a warm welcome, home cooking with local products and a strong commitment to sustainability. It is the ideal starting point for climbing Adula (3402 m), the highest peak in Ticino, and for trekking and mountaineering routes. It has dormitories, services and a large panoramic terrace. Open from 29 May to 4 October 2025, it requires advance booking for overnight stays and meals.

The Quarnei hut offers a breathtaking view of the Malvaglia valley. Here, it is possible to taste tasty typical dishes and also stop for the night (there are 58 beds). The hut is also an excellent starting point for excursions to the surrounding lakes and peaks.

A beautiful place with an Alpine soul. The shelter has thermal insulation, electric lighting with solar panels, running water in the shelter and in the bathroom, wood stove for cooking and heating. Modern dormitory with 24 beds with wool mattresses and blankets. ATTENTION: from here on, following the path towards the Alpe Costa refuge is suggestive but requires experience and surefootedness, the terrain is rocky.

The hut is located in a very panoramic position; unfortunately I always have the feeling of being badly tolerated as a result I don't go there willingly. If you are Italian, consider taking a packed picnic in one of the beautiful meadows around and going to the hut only to fill the water in the (for now) free fountain located outside the hut.

The Quarnei Hut is located at the foot of the Reinwaldhorn, on a promontory that offers an incomparable view of the Malvaglia Valley. The hut has 58 beds and offers half board (with delicious typical dishes to enjoy) at affordable prices.
