The path leads between the steep rock walls, partly over wooden footbridges, from one spectacular passage to the next - the Twannbach rushes and roars wildly through the narrow parts of the gorge down to the dreamy wine-growing village of Twann and into Lake Biel.

The Twannbach Gorge is a natural spectacle of the wet green kind. The entrance fee of a mere two francs for adults and one for kids is more than justifiable and guarantees that the gorge will remain accessible for future generations. The money is used for the maintenance and care of the network of paths along the Twannbach.
