The Welschgätterli is a mountain pass between Montsevelier in the canton of Jura and Erschwil in the canton of Solothurn. Its summit is at an altitude of 810 meters above sea level, directly on the border between the two cantons. A yellow-marked hiking trail leads over the pass, connecting the two villages. You can also hike past the Welschgätterli on the Chemin du Val Terbi, which takes you on a circular route over the heights around Montsevelier. From the summit of the pass, the hike to Montsevelier takes about half an hour and to Erschwil around 40 minutes.

Great view to the west after a challenging climb

A grassy, pastoral summit, with excellent views of the surrounding forest, peaks and fields. Despite its Grand Mont designation, it is certainly a little less grand than some of the other peaks that Switzerland is home to, however, it remains an excellent small mountain, with unique and distinctive terrain.

At over 300 meters above sea level, this peak is a gentle hike that gives you views that only a 1,000 meter peak can provide.

Mont Russelin is a mountain in the Swiss Jura, with a height of 951 meters and a prominence of 120 meters. It is an ideal destination for hikers who appreciate scenic views and historic sites. One of the best trails to reach the summit is the Chemin de la MOB, which starts from La Caquerelle and passes through a dreamlike forest. Mont Russelin is a demanding but rewarding hike that will make you appreciate the beauty and diversity of the Jura region.
